It's not just me

About 10 years ago an extremely well-spoken female colleague was at lunch talking about someone who had been extremely rude ...

... the person was so rude, she told us, that they "even used the 'cunt'-word".

After saying this she immediately went red and covered her mouth in shock.

I'm not sure what word it was but it must have been bad to be referred to, in polite circles, as the 'cunt'-word.

WARNING - This post includes a rude word.

Still makes me cringe

I would, hopefully, never say this now but about 15 years ago I was with some colleagues in central London.

One female colleague, who is also a friend, was, um, not very slim.

Somehow she was explaining to the team that she used to be "a bit of a babe until the car accident".

I overheard this and found myself asking "What did you do, drive into a cake shop?".

Everyone, including me, was aghast, except for her - she thought it was funny.

"I don't care what you like"

Talking to a supplier IT manager who said he didn't like the strategy we were going to adopt.

I don't remember saying this but a colleague reminded me the next day.
